As an overweight single father, I constantly felt the pressure of juggling home, work, and social life, and I always felt like I was making sacrifices everywhere.  I didn’t feel like I could sacrifice any extra time to do what it took to lose weight.  I followed diets as best as I could, and I tried to make it to the gym as often as possible, but with traditional weight training and traditional cardio, I barely ever got there because of the time it took.  After years of being frustrated, and constantly feeling uncomfortable in my body, I decided I needed a change, but I didn’t know how I would find the time.

So frustrated, and tired of wasting money on diet programs, pills and shakes, I decided to research what exactly made the body burn fat and how I could use that information to lose weight without starving myself, cutting out my favorite foods and spending hours in the gym.  After months and months of research, I developed a basic plan.  I tried it and amazingly I lost 25 lbs in 20 days.  What’s even more amazing is that I spent less than 20 minutes in the gym 2 times per week.  That’s less 4 hours per month in the gym.

I took a break after I lost the first 25 lbs, happy with the results of the diet, but soon decided to go back on the diet, and have since lost over 85 lbs. of fat.  I am currently in the process of publishing my diet and exercise program at The 20/20/20 Diet website.

This Blog, Single Parent Weight Loss, will focus on different ways to lose weight, and specifically offer tips for people dealing with the challenge of being single parents.  It brings with a time challenge as well as, I believe a certain stigma attached to the title.

I want everyone to know, no matter what your situation, you can lose the weight.
